Mr. Linky Loves Lidna (but not Eddie Haskell)

Mr. Linky, your favorite little box-shaped guy (other than Sponge Bob) is up and performing linkage feats over at 2nd Cup of Coffee’s Random Dozen, which seem lately to be the only kind of post I’m posting (sorry, Rachel). Blog about your own and then pop on over and let Mr. Linky do what he does best for you….
1. Do you prefer even or odd numbers? Any particular reason?
I like odd numbers when arranging things (flowers, objects d’art…), I think because it more easily pulls your eye toward a focal point. But peanut M & M’s need to be in an even number so I can chew one on one side of my mouth, and the next on the other….if the bag runs out and I’m uneven, I have to open another bag. What a tragedy.

2. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being "not at all" and 10 being Carly Simon-worthy, how vain are you?
Struggle here…would like to think 3-4, but probably 7-8. I struggle with the fear of not mattering.

3. Among these Irish stereotypes, with which do you identify most closely? Talkative, Proud, Inquisitive, Love to party, Hot-tempered
Talkative, proud, inquisitive (read here: nosey)….also can tend to be mauldlin…

4. How lucky do you consider yourself?
I am blessed beyond measure. Luck seems to be counter-intuitive to what I believe about God.

5. What is the subject of your favorite post that you've written?
Well, I wrote a really long one about boundaries, aimed at teenage girls , and I loved the whole 12 Days of Christmas Extravaganza of 2008 it probably had something to do with a kid or LOST (no thinks this week—tummy is rebelling today and not wanting to sit up and think. Big question from last night: who is the WE who think it better if Sayid was dead?). I’ve done way more posts than I knew. This makes 145. At 150, maybe I should do a giveaway. Or should I pick an odd number so that a focal point will more readily be identified? I’m sorry, did you ask a question?

6. Describe March weather where you live in three words.
Windy. Very windy.

7. How apt are you at detecting blarney when you hear it? (Smooth talk, flattery)
I have a highly attuned blarney detector. Especially from teenagers. Most especially when they are kissing the blarney stone in order to induce me to a) give/buy them something or b) give in to a scheme against my better judgment or c) try to get out of trouble. And it always annoys me and makes me feel all smarmy-skeevy. Remember Eddie Haskell? Couldn’t stand him!

8. How "green" are you, environmentally speaking?
Very brownish-green. However, I have recently recycled 6 toilets for a great cause that I will share about soon! .

9. What is your favorite song this week?
Favorite? I love Smile by Uncle Kracker...

Think it would make a great praise and worship song, even though it references luck. The one that is stuck in my head?
…You’re So Vain by Carly Simon. Thanks, Lid.

10. You are walking along and see a coin on the ground. What denomination does it have to be before you will stop to pick it up?

I pick up all coins I see. Nothing to do with “See a penny pick it up, all that day you’ll have good luck.” It’s a penny. Pennies add up to dollars. I can remember when we were first married scrounging change to go to the dollar movie (and yes, we had more pennies than any other denomination). Besides, with the price of copper now, especially after the earthquake in Chile, they are probably worth more than a penny.

11. Complete the sentence: "Every time I look outside my window ...."
…I am grateful to be walking under God’s sky and breathing his air for one more day. And am glad there aren’t any decorated potties in my yard. Are you intrigued yet

12. What was the #1 song on the day you were born? See this site to find out.

Hit the Road Jack, by Ray Charles. But I DO want you to come on back… “some mo’, some mo’, some mo’, some mo’…” And post your own RD and then head over to Lid's and Mr. Linky.

I agree on luck being counter intuitive to God. Luck is counter intuitive to common sense.
That kid who played Eddie Haskell grew upto be an LAPD officer!
Scratch a penny with something sharp and you'll find that white metal is just under the surface of the copper. Pennies are made of zinc now.
Sorry I was pulling your chain about the LOST spoiler last week. But after you apologized so nice, I didn't have the heart to drop the boom.

I actually know of a house in my area that has a potty with flowers planted in it.

With ya on #4. Tried to click on your Boundaries post and it didn't work. :v(

I totally agree that "Smile" would be a GREAT praise & worship song but would never have thought about it that way -"THANKS!".

Eddie Haskell? LOL My youngest son had a friend that we called "Eddie Haskell" - for obvious reasons!

I wanna know about the Potties???
