So for the tens of ones of you who occasionally stop by (Ms. Danielle...you're IT), I am officially tagging you.


The name of the game is Picture Tag. Go to your picture file. Pick the 4th folder and the 4th picture and then explain what the photo was all about.


I was tagged by my ADHD friend over at Monkeys are Funny tagged me, so now YOU'RE IT!. I think I just like saying, "You're It!"







This picture is from Centrifuge camp in 2007. It shows a scene from a little torture game we play called mega relay. Mega Relay is amazing fun and possibly the most painful 10-12 minutes of your life, outside of childbirth. This particular event is called "Popsicle Pushup." My 2nd son, Caleb is the one with the red headband facing the camera. 4 people lay on the ground in a square and put their feet on the adjacent person's shoulders (think a popsicle stick picture frame--clever name, no?). It's a good think I have a visual of it. Then they have to do 4 pushups in this heat of the event. I think there are usually about 12 different events or heats. Yes there are stickers. Yes, we have lost a couple to heat exhaustion. Yes, Caleb's team won the Mega Relay. Caleb's team AWAYS wins the Mega Relay. It's kind of like competing with Chuck Norris or Superman....sigh

I would do MUCH better behind the camera than participating in this game. Actually - I'm a good cheerleader. Not even a good photographer!

Some of the heats aren't so physical...in one of them one person holds a disposable diaper with chocolate pudding in it while a second person eats the pudding. Kind of...ewww....I had to do something called an Amoeba Run and then an Itsy Bitsy Spider relay. My daughter did the Dr. Pepper burp thing this year....sigh

THAT kind of neighbor, Toilets, Accidental Brunette-dness and the RD

We are THAT family. For the past six weeks or so, our neighbors have been very patient with us. Every time we pull into our driveway, the theme from Sanford and Son plays. We have had up to six toilets in our yard at one time. In addition to this, because we are under construction and building out the garage as a bedroom for the two younger boys, everything that was formerly in the garage has had to find another temporary home. Thus, we have an elliptical machine, skate boards and ice chests on my front porch and a six-piece Pearl drum kit in my shed. And at one point, the bench seats from my old Suburban were leaning against the front gate. Obviously, we never parked our cars in the garage. Yep. THAT family. I am ever so glad we don’t have a homeowner’s association who gets wigged out over that kind of thing. Thinks I thunk about LOST tonight: 1. Claire: REALLY? You are 8 months pregnant and going to willingly...VOLUNTARILY get in a cab with a person that was holding a gun on you about 10 minutes ago. REALLY? 2. I've seen the guy who cut off Kate's handcuffs before. Was he one of the original others? Or is he just a character actor from another series? I think they don't do that kind of thing on this show and he's ba-ack...but from where? 3. Ethan looks just as creepy. He is one skeevy guy. 4. Sawyer cries pretty. Real pretty. 5.
